The financial news is not getting any better for the Vermilion Parish School Board. Sales tax collection and oil and gas revenue and sales tax collection continue to fall for the public school system.

Abbeville's Koryn reaches Top 10

Abbeville’s own Koryn Hawthorne sings the song “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson last Monday. Koryn is expected to sing again on Monday. It is unknown what will be her next song.

Country singer and coach Blake Shelton nailed it when he welcomed Abbeville’s Koryn Hawthorne to the Top 10 of The Voice.

Electrofishing gives students look at fish diversity
