DELCAMBRE - The town of Delcambre has been recognized for its efforts in planning for a changing climate.

Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon’s purchase of a home at a Vermilion Parish Sheriff Sale in 2014 violated a state law, according to the Louisiana Board of Ethics. Couvillon could be fined as much as $10,000 by the Ethics Board.
It is always nice to receive a $75,000 check in the mail you were not expecting. On Monday, Vermilion Parish Tourism Executive Alison Miller saw an envelope from the BP Claims Department. Miller was no expecting anything from BP, so there was not a reason to get excited about the letter until she opened it and read it.
