Film crew at the old bank building on the corner of Oak Street and Southeast Central Avenue. The building currently houses the Amite Chamber of Commerce and a museum but is being used as a movie set during filming of “2 Guns”.
Movie set “Mama Maybelle’s Diner” is part of the filming of “2 Guns” in Amite. The set was built around Weldon Russell’s real estate office, on the corner of Oak Street and Southeast Central Avenue, across the street from the Amite police station.

Movie sets have been constructed, and some of Amite’s businesses have been renamed for filming purposes.
On Tuesday, July 23, Amite residents watched from the sidelines as scenes were filmed with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.
