In the statement, it was announced that Christopher Saltzman and Amanda Broussard were both arrested for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.
In part the statement said, “Agents received information in reference to the above mentioned suspects dealing large amounts of marijuana. Agents with the Task Force began an investigation into the matter and were able to conduct a traffic stop on the two suspects.
“Upon further investigation it was found that they were in possession of approximately one pound of suspected marijuana and a .25 caliber handgun. Both subjects were booked in to the VPCC. More arrests are expected.”
Sheriff Mike Couvillon, Abbeville Mayor Mark Piazza, Abbeville Chief of Police Rick Coleman, Erath Chief of Police Gerald Hebert, Erath Mayor George Dupuis commended the Narcotics Task Force for a job well done.
Couvillon also applauded the concerned citizens of Vermilion Parish for their awareness and assistance in helping the Sheriff’s Office in fighting the war on illegal drugs.
