Renee Broussard and Jack Arceneaux Jr. exchanged vows of marriage on Oct. 8, 2010, during a 6 p.m. ceremony at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia. Minister Rick Coleman officiated the service.

Renee is the daughter of Nicholas and Ramona Boudreaux of Abbeville and Randy and Nora Broussard of Gueydan. She is the granddaughter of Percy and Goldie Meaux of Abbeville, Ethel Guidry of Erath, the late Sidney Broussard of Gueydan and Dolores Trahan of Lake Arthur.

Jack is the son of Gary and Donna Nance of Youngsville and Jack and Doreen Arceneaux of Lafayette. He is the grandson of the late Jean and Theresa Broussard of Broussard and Jack and Bootie Arceneaux of Lafayette.

The bride was escorted by her father Randy Broussard.

The bride wore an ivory, satin Oleg Cassini ballgown with a pick-up skirt and beaded metallic embroidery on the bodice and a chapel-length train. The bride accented her look with a pearl, rhinestone and crystal tiara and an ivory fingertip-length veil with crystal accents. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of vandal roses, mini white callas and stephanotis tied with ivory ribbon and embellished with a rhinestone fleur de lis.

The bride’s matron of honor was her friend Megan Dumond. Bridesmaids included sister Heather Reese, friends Heather Gonzales and Ashlie Hughes and nieces Cecily Suire and Cydney Melancon.

The bridesmaids wore a truffle-colored satin, a-line dress with a sweetheart neckline and a watermelon-colored sash with a watermelon-colored flower attached to the sash. They each carried a nosegay of hot pink and circus roses with green hypericum berries tied with a hot pink ribbon and embellished with a rhinestone fleur de lis.

The flower girls were daughter of the bride Cami Breaux and daughter of the groom Kameron Arceneaux.

The ring bearer was godchild of the groom Caleb Broussard

The groom’s best man was his friend Nick Montesano. The groomsmen included brother Michael Nance, brother of the bride Stacy Broussard, cousin Blake Broussard and friends Trey Talbot and Justin Bourque.

Ushers included uncle of the groom Kevin Broussard, parrain of the groom Brian Broussard and godchild of the bride Brennon Reese.

The mother of the bride wore a knee-length a-line dress of cocoa Dupioni silk featuring a modified sweetheart neckline. Asymmetrically shirred silk, embellished with a rhinestone applique’, defined the natural waist. A bolero jacket with a row of rhinestones trimming the shirt sleeves, as well as pleating at the neckline, completed her ensemble.

The mother of the groom wore a formal gown of navy chiffon. The bodice featured a square neckline and tone-on-tone beading throughout. A chiffon jacket, beaded at the wrist, complemented the a-line silhouette.

The mothers carried tussie mussies with the same roses carried by the bridesmaids.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Will Green.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rip Van Winkle Gardens.

After a wedding trip on a Caribbean cruise, the couple plans to reside in Maurice.
