Renee Chiasson was presented with a Civic Pride award by Chamber President elect Ray Dugal at this month’s Greater Abbeville-Vermilion Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

The Chamber members were also given a presentation about the displays being included in the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame. Exhibits will include land, sea and air equipment and personal stories from all of the military branches.

The project has been on-going for the past 14 years, beginning with former Abbeville Mayor Brady Broussard’s administration. The opening date will be Nov. 15 with several bands performing, including the National Guard Band. There will also be a military jet fly-over with a parachutist displaying the American Flag.
