GUEYDAN - “The most fun, exciting, wildest, talented best band in the land” is what the Chee Weez are known as. “They pack thousands of people where ever they play” stated a Chee-Weez fan! And that is exactly what they did this pass weekend as they performed to several thousand fans during their Sunday night closing performance for the Regatta Festival in Lake Arthur.

According to the Gueydan Duck Festival entertainment chairmen the Chee-Weez are booked to perform as the closing act on the Friday night of the Festival. Festival organizers are planning for the same number in fans to show up for the wildest band in the land!

The Chee-Weez are a cover band that was formed in 1997 by Kris LaCoste shortly after parting ways with his previous cover band “Black Diamond”. The group plays classic rock to pop and hiphop favorites.
