Abbeville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Duris Adam Landry, Sr., 76, will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

A native of Leroy and a resident of Abbeville Mr. Landry died at 11:32PM on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane Fontenot Landry of Abbeville; three sons, Mark Landry and his wife Theresa of Abbeville, Tod Landry and his wife Angie of Meaux, and Duris A. Landry, Jr. of Abbeville; a brother, Lovelace Landry of Erath; a sister, Velta Landry of Rayne; five grandchildren, Jared Landry, Kacy Landry, Jed Landry, Darick Landry, and Hannah Landry; and two great grandchildren, Bayli Landry and Kaden Landry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clodore and Edna Primeaux Landry; a son, Jed Landry, and two sisters, Olive Sonnier and Olite Rogers.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tod Landry, Mark Landry, Duris A. Landry, Jr., Darick Landry, Jed Landry, and Kendal Fontenot.
