Heidi East and Jessy Davenport Jr. exchanged vows of marriage on April 9, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Kaplan. Justice of the Peace Johnny Choate officiated the ceremony.

Heidi is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murphy and Diana East of Kaplan. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Trahan of Abbeville.

Jessy is the son of Mrs. Beverly Davenport and the late Jessy Davenport of Erath.

The bride was escorted by her father Murphy East.

The bride wore an elegant white, satin, a-line gown with beaded lace applique and a cut-out lace hem. The gown had a stunning chapel-length train. She wore a mid-height tiara embellished with pearls and marquis-shaped crystals.

The bridal bouquet was a beautiful assortment of large white calla lilies, yellow miniature calla lilies and light green hydrangea with bear grass.

The bride’s maid of honor was her friend Geraldine Lasseigne. The bridesmaids were friends Lauren Hebert, Krisi Mouton and Fallon Pinch. Junior bridesmaid was Britney Lasseigne.

The bride’s attendants each wore an elegant strapless, satin, canary yellow ball gown with a ruched bodice. They each carried a bouquet of orange zinnias, miniature yellow calla lilies and medium green hydrangea.

The groom’s best man was his friend Rouley Lasseigne. The groomsmen were friends Elliot Broussard, Casey Thibodeaux and Blake LeMaire.

The mother of the bride wore a platinum silver tank dress featuring an empire waist embellished with jewel and sequin detail, paired with a tiered, knee-length skirt and a three-quarter-length sleeve jacket. She wore a corsage of delicate small yellow calla lilies, miniature green hydrangea, clear rhinestones, yellow ribbon and white tulle.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Beau Young.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Kaplan.

The couple will reside in Maurice.
