French Organist Thomas Ospital will perform a recital of Lenten organ music at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Downtown Lafayette on Friday evening, March 2, 2012, at 7:00 p.m.

Born in 1990, Ospital is currently the young-artist-in-residence at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. A French native, he has studied at the Paris Conservatory of Music under Olivier Latry, titular organist of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. He has performed in several European countries and won first prize at the International Organ Competition in Zaragoza, Spain in 2009. His recital is open to the public.
