Vermilion Parish children will have two different days to go trick or treating on at the end of the month.

Although Halloween is Oct. 31, which is a Sunday, some municipalities have voted to change the date to Oct. 30, the Saturday.

The police jury also voted to change the date to Oct. 30 for trick or treaters in the rural areas of the parish.

However, not everyone agreed to change Halloween to Saturday.

Gueydan and Maurice will have Halloween on Sunday.
