Each week the Abbeville Meridional will highlight a softball or baseball player from the Vermilion Parish. This week it is Colin Broussard, a 10 year old who plays baseball for Vermilion Oriole baseball team in the USSSA Select League. He is the son of Kevin and Jill Broussard of Abbeville.

Hitting.

Football and basketball.

You are interested in horses and horse racing. How did you get interested in that sport?

My dad is a race horse trainer.

What do you like about horses?

I like getting excited at the races.

If you had a choice of attending the Kentucky Derby or a Major League Baseball World Series game, which one would you choose?

If my dad had a horse in the Kentucky Derby, I would go to that. Otherwise I would go to the game.

Watching TV, playing video games and swimming and practicing for my sports.

You have two older brothers, Brock and Jacob, who were good in sports. Do you put pressure on yourself to try to be as good as them?
