According to Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon, two individuals have been arrested and booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center on one count of burglary of a business which occurred on Wednesday.

Sheriff Couvillon says that at approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the two subjects were seen at the Mariner Well site located on Cuz Road with items in their hands, and took off running into an adjacent field next to the well site.

Sheriff Couvillon says that patrol personnel located the two subjects at a nearby residence, and detained them until detectives arrived.

Sheriff Couvillon further stated that the two individuals Keith Ferrell (DOB 4/26/76) of 13307 Lemaire Hartman Road in Kaplan and Casey Stewart (DOB 5/10/87) of 13307 Lemaire Hartman Road in .Kaplan were interrogated and later booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center on one count of Burglary of a Business.

No bond has been set as of this time, and additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
