DES MOINES, Iowa -- The LSU Women's Outdoor Track & Field team won the NCAA Championship on Sunday at Jim Duncan Track at Drake Stadium by a commanding margin.

The Lady Tigers won their 15th outdoor title while the men finished second by two points to Florida. The women's squad last won the outdoor national championship in 2008.

Including indoor NCAA meets, the 2012 championship was the 32nd in the track & field program's history and the 47th NCAA title in LSU history.
