As a school project, the LeBlanc Elementary Pre-K classes collected Christmas gift items for the families involved with Faith House of Acadiana in Abbeville.

This outreach project began about 6 years ago when our school, Dozier Elementary at the time, was a displaced school. After our school flooded for Hurricane Rita, the Pre-K teachers decided to collect Christmas gift items for those less fortunate of Vermilion Parish.

Through the years, Pre-K teachers in Erath have taught the students in our classes that Christmas isn't only about receiving. This year with the support of the administration at LeBlanc Elem., our efforts grew with grades Pre-K thru 5 participating in this outreach project. More than 100 gift items were delivered to Faith House in helping families to have a wonderful 2011 Christmas.
