Laurie Lopez and Jarrod Deslatte exchanged vows of marriage on Jan. 8, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath. Father William Crumley officiated the service.

Laurie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brady Lopez of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lopez of Erath and Mr. and Mrs. Durice Richard of Erath.

Jarrod is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Royce Deslatte of Charenton. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Darden of Charenton and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Deslatte of Centerville.

The bride was escorted by her father, Brady Lopez. She wore a satin, a-line gown with a beaded, embroidered, metallic bodice and an inverted v-empire. The bride’s look was completed with a cathedral-length train.

The bride’s maid of honor was her friend Nicole Pogue. Bridesmaids included the groom’s sister Jessica Rogers, bride’s sister-in-law Michelle Lopez and friends Krystal Hebert, Billie Pratt and Anne Maria Leblanc. Junior bridesmaid was Olivia Lopez.

The bride’s attendants wore an a-line dress with a v-neckline and shoulder straps. The dresses had an asymmetrical, pleated bodice accented with a beaded band on the dropped waistline.

The flower girls were Caroline Lopez and Emma Rogers. The ring bearer was Jye Lopez.

The groom’s best man was his cousin Jacob Darden. Groomsmen included the bride’s brothers Jake Lopez and Jarret Lopez and friends Bill McGoffin, Joe Miller and Kellen Doiron.

Ushers included cousin Jake Darden and the bride’s cousin Ryan Richard.

The mother of the bride wore a faux, two-piece gown in slate, featuring a beaded lace bodice with a surplice v-neck and 3/4-length sleeves over a long a-line taffeta skirt. She completed her look with a matching, pleated tie sash with a rhinestone brooch embellishment, which decorated the waist.

The mother of the groom wore a deep, merlot-colored, taffeta, sleeveless, scoopneck dress with a ruched bust and side-shirred detail on the bodice. Her look was accented with a matching 3/4-length sleeve bolero jacket with a ruched, puffed collar.

Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Manique Leblanc, vocalist Bridget Touchet, trumpeter Scotty Walker and violinist Tommy Benoit.

Readings were given by cousin of the groom Jamie Darden and grandmother of the groom Rita Darden.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at La Louisian.

After a wedding trip to Rhode Island, the couple will reside in Erath.
