Abbeville will have its annual Memorial Day Military Service Monday at Graceland Cemetery, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Major Tommy Rigsby, a retired serviceman from the Army National Guard, will oversee the ceremony.
The Abbeville American Legion is expected give American flags to family members whose loved ones passed away that served in the service.
Also expected to be on hand are the Vermilion Parish Honor Guard.
Kaplan is also having a Memorial Day service. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3793 will lead the service at Kaplan City Hall, starting at 9 a.m.
On Monday, all city, parish and state offices will be closed to observe Memorial Day. They will reopen Tuesday.
