The Louisiana Tourism Coastal Coalition (LTCC) has elected Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission Executive Director, Alison Miller, to serve as their 2012-2013 Chairman.

Previously, Miller served as LTCC’s Vice-Chairman.

“Being elected to lead LTCC by all nine of my tourism counterparts is truly an honor,” stated Miller. As Chairman, Miller will work with the Louisiana Office of Tourism, Louisiana Travel Promotion Association and the other LTCC parishes to market coastal and nature-based tourism. Her main goals as Chairman are to continue the marketing that is currently in place and to help find continued sources of revenue to keep this organization going into the future.

The LTCC is comprised of the ten coastal parishes that joined forces following the BP oil spill to market coastal Louisiana as a tourism destination. In 2010, LTCC received $5 million from the $15 million BP gave to Louisiana to help with tourism and get the message out that Louisiana is open for business.
