The right photo depicts a reproduction of the official Swamp Pop Reunion IV photo of the legends who donated their time and talents to the recent Swamp Pop Reunion Dance IV. Proceeds from the dance will benefit the city’s future Swamp Pop Museum. Ville Platte is known as the Swamp Pop Capital of the World. CenturyTel made a donation before the dance, which was held Monday, February 23, at the Ville Platte Civic Center, toward the museum and this event. CenturyTel is one of the newest corporate sponsors to assist museum organizers in their goal of opening a Swamp Pop Museum here.
