Dear Editor,

To the Meaux Elementary staff, I would like to thank all of you for all the efforts put forth into my childrens education. A special thanks is extended to Ms. Ann Bell, Ms. Melissa Marshall, Ms. Chantay Abshire and Ms. Lynette Frederick.

My son Trevion Levy transferred from another school in Vermilion parish and has shown great improvement in academics and behavior. He is a student with bi-polar disorder and behavioral problems. He beat the odds that were against him and went from failure to a total success. Trevionn's grades at his former school were mostly C's, D's and F's. Here at Meaux he has done a complete turn around and his grades are now A's and B's . His GPA is 3.8.

As his mother I'm ecstatic and overjoyed. I have so much confidence in his ability to push beyond his barriers. Upon receiving his LEAP test scores, I almost jumped out of my skin. He passed, receiving Mastery in Mathematics and Mastery in English Language Arts. Trevion began the school year reading at a 2.0 level. He is currently reading at a 5.6 level.

The teachers went above and beyond their call of duty. I just want to say thank you all for a job well done.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Enjoli Greene
