Preston Pierre Morvant

Abbeville—Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Preston Pierre Morvant, 82, who died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

He was laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Corey Campeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers were Louis Bourque, Kaleb Frederick, Dua Morvant, Jr., Michael Simon, Virginia Morvant and Clifton Morvant. Honorary pallbearers were Cobie Breaux, Alex Bourque and Gabe Bourque.

He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Renee’ Morvant of Ville Platte; brother, Harris Lege of Gun Barrel City, TX; stepchildren, Kaleb Frederick, Cobie Breaux, Cassie Savoy, Alex Bourque, Jaydin Menard, Tiffani Bourque and Gabe Bourque; godchildren, Helen Frederick, Numa Morvant, Jr. and Timmy Lee; and his beloved dog, Rex .

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nita Morvant.
