Abbeville—Randy Phillip Forrester, 59, who died Monday, June 25, 2012 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.

Randy served for five years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Midway. He was a native of Georgia and a resident of Louisiana for the past 30 years, working for Bristow International Helicopters for 28 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Latice Julia Forrester of Opelousas; the mother of his daughters, Juilet Forrester of Opelousas; brother, Bob Forrester of Martinez, GA; and sister, Judy Forrester Hammonds of Fernandina Beach, FL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Odell Forrester; and mother, Jennie Viola Loyde.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donantions be made to his daughter.
