Erath – Funeral Services for Mrs. Edier Moore, the former Rose Delahoussaye, 101, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at David Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, April 27, 2012 beginning at 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

A native of Delcambre, and a resident of Erath, Mrs. Moore passed away at 5:51AM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Rose and her husband enjoyed working with race horses and she enjoyed playing cards. Rose was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who dearly loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Lucille M. Boutte of Abbeville; a son, E. J. Delahoussaye of Belle Chasse; three grandchildren, Deena Touchet, Danny Delahoussaye, and Jo Ann McClelland; seven great grandchildren, Nick J. Touchet, Cory M. Touchet, Ryan Delahoussaye, Matthew Delahoussaye, Joy Delahoussaye, Heather Delahoussaye, and Kim McClelland, and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edier Moore; parents, Duplex Delahoussaye and Olvie Aucoin Delahoussaye; daughter, Glory Dean Moore, brother Naud Delahoussaye; and sisters, Laurence Magee and Duclide Toups.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Touchet, Cory Touchet, Randy Touchet, Danny Delahoussaye, Chad Hebert and Ricky Boutte.
