On Thursday morning, the Abbeville Police Department executed a search warrant on the residence of Damian Davis. While doing so, officers were able to make contact with the wanted subject by phone.

Davis was then turned over to the Abbeville Police Department, at the residence by a family member.

He was booked on the charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The bond on the charges was set at $520,000. Davis was then transferred to Vermilion Parish Correctional Center.

During the early morning hours of Wednesday the Abbeville Police Department responded to a complaint of an alleged, attempted robbery where three male subjects chased and shot a Vietnamese man, somewhere in the area of Felicity Street near South Louisiana Street.

According to the victim, three subjects stopped him on the street and tried to sell him illegal narcotics but when the victim refused, they began to beat him.

The victim was able to escape from the subjects who gave chase and caught the victim at a nearby residence. The suspects again began to beat on the Vietnamese victim.

According to the victim, one of the subjects pulled out a gun and shot the victim one time, wounding him in the upper arm area.
