GUEYDAN - Reading to children can change their world. Over the span of the annual six-week summer reading program, special guests intrigued children with magic, art and music.

On Friday, July 27, the Gueydan Library under the direction of Librarian Angela Touchet hosted the ending party for their summer reading program.

Children and their parents enjoyed games and refreshments throughout the afternoon. Each child was treated to a special price just for attending the party.

Touchet reminded everyone that although the Summer Reading Program slate of events are over, there will be other events throughout the year they are invited to attend and enjoy.

For more information about the other upcoming events, call the Gueydan Library at 536-6781.

Summer reading sponsored in part by Les Dames de Gueydan.
