Tamanesha Nicollette Thomas, the daughter of Mary Lee and Harry Lee Thomas of Ville Platte, graduated December 19, from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. Thomas, a 2005 graduate of Ville Platte High School, graduated in three-and-a-half years with Cum Laude honors and an overall grade point average of 3.55. During her matriculation at Grambling, Thomas was involved in several organizations and clubs, including the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Sorority, Favrot Student Union Board Lagniappe and Featured Attractions committees, Student Government Association junior class senator, Prestige Modeling Troupe, American Marketing Association, Management Club, Economics Club, Career Services student assistant and the Society of Distinguished Black Women Inc. as #34 Lady Treasure on the Fall 2006 92 L.A.D.I.E.S. of Virtue line. Thomas plans to move to Lake Charles at the start of the new year to pursue a career in marketing management and attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to obtain her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Thomas is the granddaughter of Mildred Thomas of Ville Platte, the late Edward Thomas, Shedrick Malbrew of Chataignier and the late Mae Malbrew.
