The event will be open to boys and girls of all ages and will consist of technical sessions including goalkeeping. The day will conclude with a five-on-five age appropriated tournament.
“The Players and I are always excited about our free youth clinics that we host,” head coach Scot Wieland said. “The girls really look forward to seeing and working with kids in Lafayette. “There is nothing more important than sharing and giving back to the youth in our area.”
Participants should bring a water bottle, shin guards and a ball. Any questions regarding the clinic should contact coach Wieland at 337-356-6858.
“Sharing your love for the game and soccer experience with young soccer players is a big responsibility for our girls and they take it very seriously,” Wieland stated. “They look back at mentors and players in the past that have done it for them and they take a lot of pride in returning the favor. The smiling faces and hugs they get from the young ones really makes and impact!”
