The Vermilion Heat 12U fastpitch softball team continued their winning streak placing first this past weekend (June 18-20) in the Cajun Express Summer Classic held at Plantation Park in Lafayette, LA. The girls were 7-0 in the tournament having to play 3 extra innings to secure a win in the semi-finals to play in the championship game Sunday night. Each player received a first place tourney T-shirt. The Vermilion Heat girls will now compete in the Louisiana State Tournament in Alexandria on 4th of July weekend.
