Vermilion Parish students take participate in the District III Honor Choir, make it to All-State Choir

District III Honor Choir participants in the first row are Alex Richard, Trenity Villejoin and Victoria LeBlanc. In the second row are Christine Carter, Kacey Veillon, Morgan Gaspard, Callynn Thomas and Sandi Nguyen. In the third row are Seth Darby, Marie Looney, Richard Nguyen, Leanny Munoz, Christian Darby, Brice Landry, Chelsey Sonnier and Hannah Rupert. In the fourth row are Jordon Nguyen, Nicholas Levine, Hector Pena, Walter Lessin III, Kevin Broussard and Jarvis Landry. Not pictured are Tiffany McCarter, Bay Trieu and Dakota Redwing.
The District III Honor Choir was held at Angelle Hall On Oct. 2 under the direction of Dr. Mark Deakins.

Dr. Deakins is from Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Ken.

Vermilion Parish was represented well by our students and the concert was a huge success.

Following the concert, nine students from our parish went on to audition for second round All-State Choir in Pineville. La. on Oct. 9.

Out of those nine students, seven are going on to participate in the All-State Honor choir on Nov. 18–20 ,with the concert being held at the Crown Plaza hotel in Baton Rouge. Congratulations to these students on such a great accomplishment.
