According to State Police, Jacob Fontenot, 19, was driving north on La. 3042 shortly before 9 a.m. when his vehicle exited a curve, crossed the center line, begin to spin and left the roadway.
The vehicle struck a private drive’s culvert and overturned. Fontenot, not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.
He died at an area hospital.
