www.ragincajuns.com - Randell Daigle was tabbed to the Sun Belt’s Preseason All-Conference Third Team as Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the Western Division as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Daigle returns as the Cajuns’ leading scorer from last season. The senior guard averaged 11.5 points per contests and made a career-best 68 three-pointers last season. It was the second consecutive season Daigle had drained 60-plus three-pointers. His three-point shooting percentage from last year ranked fourth in the league (.386).

North Texas was the consensus pick to win the West with Arkansas State and Denver ahead of the Cajuns within the division.

Western Kentucky received 11 first place votes to take the top spot in the East and the Hilltoppers’ Sergio Kerusch was tabbed as the preseason player of the year.
