Lauryn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward McDermott of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Camille DuBois Sr. of Erath, Mrs. Patsy P. McDermott of Baton Rouge and the late William Lee McDermott Jr.
Jason is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Joseph Lee of Erath. He is the grandson of Mrs. Audrey B. Desormeaux of Erath, the late Alvin Francis Desormeaux and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Minus Lee.
The bride was escorted by her father James (Jim) McDermott.
The bride wore an elegant gown made of delicate ivory lace over light gold satin. The v-shaped neckline featured scalloped edging, and a satin band embellished with crystal beading highlighted the empire waistline. The lace continued throughout the slim, a-line skirt and finished with a semi-cathedral train. The bride’s gown was complimented by a lovely cathedral-length veil trimmed in a delicate ivory finish. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of miniature Calla lilies, accented with roses and hydrangea blooms.
The bride’s maid of honor was her cousin Erin McDermott and matron of honor was her cousin Andrea Bernard. Bridesmaids included cousins Katherine McDermott and Lesley Picard, the groom’s sister Kelli LeBlanc and friends Margaret Harris, Christina Holmes, Kimberly Parker, Elizabeth Ponder, Madelyn Stevens and Jennifer Viator.
The groom’s best men were his brother Brett Lee and friend Brody Viator. Groomsmen included his cousins Garret Frederick, Chad Gilbert and Stephen Lee, brother-in-law Ryan LeBlanc, brother of the bride James McDermott and friends Brennan Bernard, Scott Bernard, David Hebert Jr. and Nicholas Hebert.
Ushers included cousin of the bride Matthew Burch, cousin of the groom Christopher Lopez and friend of the groom Justin Cormier.
Readers for the ceremony were cousin of the bride Nicole Pittman, uncle of the groom Tedman Lee and friend of the bride Danielle DuBois. Gift bearers were cousin of the groom Victoria Baudin and friends of the bride Danielle Juneau and Jeanne Robinson.
Eucharistic ministers were friends of the bride and groom Tammy Broussard and Tanya Wilson. Program attendants were cousins of the bride Christina Burch, Rachel Burch and Kristen Hebert and cousin of the groom Taylor Desormeaux.
Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalist Jodi Bollich, organist Kevin Martin, trumpeter Will Green and violinist Lauren Baker.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rip van Winkle Gardens.
After a wedding trip to Vail, Colo., the couple will reside in Erath.
