The 12th Annual Christmas Stroll will be held Thursday.

The event, which is hosted by the Abbeville Main Street Program, will be held in the Historic Downtown area from 5:30 p.m.. until 8:00 p.m.

Various area businesses will be participating in this year’s Christmas Stroll. Bank of Abbeville, Bayou Air Conditioning, Black’s Seafood Market & Catering Co., Cathy Miller Interiors, the City of Abbeville, Gulf Coast Bank, New To You, Phil’s Boys & Girl’s Wear, Piazza Office Supply, Rachel’s Sweet Shop, The Caldwell House, The Christmas Store, The Depot at Magdalen Place, The Riverfront Restaurant, and Timeless Consignment are participating.

Strollers will be given a card when they enter the event. The card should be presented at each business the strollers enter and those working will stamp the card.

At the end of the evening, the fully stamped card will be dropped in the gift basket give-a-way box. Three cards will be picked and a first, second, and third place prize will be awarded accordingly.

“The Christmas Stroll is a great kick-off to the holiday season,” said Main Street Program Chairperson Charlene Beckett. “It’s a good reason for people to come downtown. There will be great music in the square.”

Beckett said a specially designed ornament will be sold in all of the stores during the stroll.
