Mr. Hilton our 4-H agent spoke about cycles of the soil and roles of the crops. In the Soil Organic Life Cycle, first come the sun, then soil, and animals. Next in the cycle come the plant, water, and finally, air. The Roles for Crops include producers, transporters, processors, and the consumers.

Kelsey Trahan, our 4-H president, called the meeting to order on Dec. 13, 2010 in the school cafeteria. Colin Faulk, our 4-H treasurer, led the Pledge of Allegiance and Adrian Courville, our 4-H reporter, led the 4-H Pledge.

Claire Herbert, our 4-H secretary, gave the secretary’s report and the motion was moved by Tori Broussard, our 4-H CRD chairman, and 2nd by Torey Hernandez, one of our 4-H parliamentarians. Colin Faulk gave the treasurer’s report. Mallory Desormeaux gave new business about the parish Electric Clinic, Allie Vice about the Computer and Demonstration Workshop, and Sarah Vice about the Honeybee essays.

Old business reports were given by; Bridget Miller about the Personal Development Contest., Caroline Naomi about the Annual Dress Revue, Lani Landry about the Dog and Pet Show, Sierra Romero about the Rice and Sugar Cookery Contest, Alexis Miguez about the Bike Rodeo, and Alex Hebert about the Engineering Contests.
