Abbeville – Funeral Services for Mr. Leroy Edmond Miller, 85, will be held at 1:00PM, on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Fr. Scott Desormeaux officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on

Wednesday, January 26, 20ll from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 8:00AM

until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery with Military Rights by the Vermilion Honor Guar.



A native of Jennings and a resident of Abbeville, Mr. Miller passed away at 10:15AM on

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at his residence. Leroy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who loved spending time with his family. Mr. Miller retired from Riviana Foods. Mr. Miller was a WWII veteran who served his country in the United States Army Air Corps.



He is survived by his wife Eathel Marie Prather of Abbeville; three sons, Wayne and his wife Mendy Miller of Atlanta Georgia, Darrell and his wife Danette Miller of Eunice, and Dale and his wife Connie Miller of Youngsville; sister Betty Jones of Lake Charles; two nieces, one nephew, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond E. and Leah Lavergne Miller.



Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Miller, Dale Miller, Darrell Miller, Gregory Miller,

Jacob Latta and Cody Morgan.



We wish to thank Dr. Karen Roden, Heart of Hospice and Senior Helpers for all their assistance, and most of all our neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Nick LeBlanc who did so much to help us.
