Mary Mildred Darby



A Mass of Christian Burial celebration will be held for Mary Mildred Darby, 65 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5. 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Erath, LA, with Father Thomas James, SVD officiating.

She will await the resurrection at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Cemetery in Erath, LA.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, at the church hall 8 a.m. until time of service; rosary recited at 12:00 p.m.

She leaves in God’s care her father, Clarence Green of Abbeville, LA; five sons, Felton Darby (Demetria) of New Iberia, LA, William Darby Jr. (Clem), of Youngsville, LA, Ernest Darby (Kathy) of Erath, LA, Charles Darby of Lafayette, LA and Clarence Darby ( Ena)of Abbeville, LA; five daughters, Patricia Darby (Anthony Harrison) of Youngsville, LA, Audrey Durand (Wilbert) and Rose Darby (Elijah Alexander) of St. Martinville, LA, Victoria Darby and Kizzy Darby of Abbeville, LA,; four brothers, Paul Green of New Iberia, LA, Forest Green of St. Martinville, LA, Alfred Green of Abbeville, LA and William Green (Barbara) of Youngsville, LA; seven sisters, Della Green of Abbeville, LA, Mary Alice Darby of Youngsville, LA, Hazel James (Collin, Jr.) of Lafayette, LA, Audrey Carter (Thomas) of St. Martinville, Alona Flugence of St. Martinville, LA, Mimmie Hunter of District Heights, VA and Beaulah Green of Youngsville, LA; 33 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She now joins in glory with her mother, Alona G. Green; three brothers, Clifton Green, Ernest Green and Clarence Green Jr.; one grandchild, Lorenzo Alexander and three children, Dalton, Michael and Donald Darby.

Active pallbearers will be Aaron Darby, Wilbert Durand, Xavier Alexander, Ernest Darby, Joseph Darby and Draman Darby.

Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Darby, Donald Darby, Cody Darby, Terrance Darby, Angelo Durand, William Darby Jr., Charles Darby Jr., and Dorian Darby.
