ZACHARY -- A man who walked into the Zachary Police Department Wednesday, March 9, telling police, “I’ve killed my wife” has been identified as Stanley Guidroz, 53, of Lockport.

The bizarre scene unfolded at the Zachary Police Department about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when Guidroz walked into the police station and turned himself in to Zachary authorities.

Captain David McDavid of the ZPD said Guidroz told detectives that about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, he and his wife were deciding on where to eat breakfast when an argument broke out and he killed his wife, 47-year-old Pepettra Guidroz.

Houma authorities said he stabbed her multiple times in her car at about 5 a.m. Wednesday morning behind a Burger King on West Tunnel Boulevard in Houma and then drove to Zachary with the body in the back seat.

“We do not know at this time why the man decided to drive to Zachary PD to turn himself in,” McDavid said, “But it looks like he was just trying to decide what to do.”

Houma authorities said Guidroz has no obvious ties in Zachary.

McDavid said Guidroz appeared distraught and at times broke down crying as detectives questioned him.

Terrebonne Sheriff’s Capt. Dawn Foret said Stanley Guidroz has been arrested several times on drug and theft charges in Lafourche and St. Mary parishes, but has never been charged with domestic violence, reports Houmatoday.com.

Marital records show that Stanley and Pepettra Guidroz married in 2003.
