For the last four days, a team effort has been taking place to install new lights at the Erath High Baseball Field on the Matte Property. The field, around six years old, is expected to have the lights hooked up in the next week , hopefully in time for a first-round home playoff game. Nathan Granger, an EHS graduate, purchased the lights and the poles for the field. The School Board donated the electrical work, while the City of Abbeville provided a truck to drill the poles 10 feet deep into the ground. Granger hired a company with a crane to place the lights in the ground.
