Students at Cecil Picard Elementary recently participated in PBIS Wacky Day. All students who demonstrated positive behavior and did not receive any office referrals for the 5th 6 weeks were invited to join in the celebration by coming up with a creative and wacky way to dress. PBIS(Positive Behavior Interventions and Support) is a program that rewards students throughout the school year for correct behavior.

Students are given "Cool Cash" when positive behavior is demonstrated. Students are rewarded weekly with a drawing for prizes. Students also are eligible to visit the PBIS store to purchase prizes using their cool cash. Students are rewarded for positive behavior each 6 weeks with a celebration.

Students that maintain positive behavior for the 1st semester are eligible to attend Field Day and students that maintain positive behavior for the entire year are invited to the Watermania celebration at the end of the year. Students in these pictures are in 5th grade.
