Valerie M. Hebert and Shane J. Romero were united in marriage on Saturday, June 4, 2011 during a sunset ceremony on Miramar Beach in Destin, Florida.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane G. Hebert of Abbeville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Ray Romero, Sr.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an Alfred Angelo trumpet style gown, which was accented with a beaded sash. In lieu of a veil, the bride wore a flower in her hair. The bride carried a bouquet of pink and ivory roses, which were accented with green flowers.

Attending the bride were cousin and Maid of Honor Brandy LeBlanc, sister Errin Hebert, sister Cortney Hebert, and niece of the groom Jannah Romero. The bridesmaids wore knee-length island pink halter-top dresses and carried bouquets that matched the bride’s bouquet.

Jada Lovett served as the flower girl and Jaden Hebert, the son of the bride and the groom, served as the ring bearer during the ceremony.

Attending to the groom was cousin of the bride and Best Man Bubba J. Broussard, brother of the groom Teddy Ray Romero, Jr., friend of the groom Blake Romero and son of the bride and the groom Jayce Romero.

On July 20, 2011, a ceremony will be held at the American Legion Hall for 250 family and friends. The couple plans to reside in Lafayette.
