Michelle LaBauve and Barry Delahoussaye Jr. were united in marriage during a 7:00 p.m. ceremony at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Father Edward Duhon, Jr. performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Suzette Bonin, of Erath, and Christopher LaBauve, of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Ruth V. Comeaux and Ray Comeaux and the late Robert LaBauve and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Oran Duhon Sr.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Delahoussaye Sr. He is the grandson of Rosemary Doré and the late Wilbert Doré Sr. and the late Dudley Joseph Delahoussaye and Inez Schaubert Delahoussaye.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin gown adorned with beaded appliques along the bust. The gown flowed into a cathedral train with an open heart-shaped embroidered beading at the bottom. To complete her look, the bride carried a bouquet of white roses with nine small yellow sweetheart roses. Each yellow rose symbolized the passing of a couple’s loved one.

Attending to the bride was cousin and Maid of Honor Gena Stelly and cousin and Matron of Honor April Luquette. Sister in law Sabrina Delahoussaye, friend Crystal Guillory, friend Katie Domingue and best friend Tricia Bellis, served as the bridesmaids.

The bridesmaids wore Mariné Blue Impression bridal gowns in different styles and carried flowers arranged by Acadiana Flowers.

Godchild of the bride, Abbygale, served as the flower girl and LaBauve and Delahoussaye’s son, Kayden Delahoussaye, served as the ring bearer during the ceremony. The bride’s sister, Angelle Bonin, served as the miniature bride during the ceremony.

Attending to the groom was brother and Best Man Ridge Delahoussaye and friend and Best Man Josh Breaux. Friend Cody Viator, Uncle Ward Delahoussaye, friend Tony Touchet, and best friend of the bride Matt Babineaux, served as groomsmen.

Thomas Spearman, a family friend, and Luke Bossley, cousin on the bride, served as ushers during the ceremony.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Josh Breaux.

Readings were given by Angelle Bonin, sister of the bride, and Hunter Verett, cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion Post 29. Upon returning from a cruise to Cozumel, the couple plans to reside in Abbeville.
