Marissa Claire Davidson and Christopher Neil Guidry were united in marriage during a 6:00 p.m. nuptial mass held on September 24, 2011, at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Maurice, Louisiana. Father Jospeh Breaux presided over the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Duane Davidson III, of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Arthur Dwaine Davidson Jr. and Mrs. Lana Davidson, and the late Mr. Nolan Broussard and Mrs. Myrtle Broussard.

The groom is the son of Ms. Catherine Broussard, of Abbeville, and Mr. Randy Guidry, of Breaux Bridge. He is the grandson of the late Mr. George Guidry and Mrs. Irene Guidry and Mr. N.R. Broussard and Mrs. Bobbie Broussard.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a romantic fitted dress made entirely of ivory alencon lace over ivory satin. The dress featured a soft sweetheart neckline that was trimmed with scattered crystals. The back of the gown featured a small corset, trimmed in crystal, and beautiful pleats that opened into a chapel-length train and a scalloped lace hem. To complete her look, the bride wore a single layer finger-tip length veil. The edge of the veil was presented with scalloped lace trimmed in crystal. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of vendella, sahara and blush roses, and white freesia accented with white hydrangea at the base. The flower’s stems were wrapped with lace and ribbon.

Stephanie Richard, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor and Mariet Conner, friend of the bride and groom, Leslie Petry, friend of the bride, Leah Fontenot, friend of the bride, Lauren Sons, friend of the bride, April Landry, sister of the groom, Allison Istre, friend of the bride, and Kayla Romero, friend of the bride, served as the bridesmaids during the ceremony.

The bridesmaids wore jade dresses, each in a different style and carried bouquets of roses, antique green hydrangeas, rusty brown coffee berries and rust alstromeria. The flower’s stems were wrapped with ribbon.

Scotty Guidry, the groom’s brother, served as best man and Derek Delahoussaye, friend of the groom, Marcus Davidson, brother of the bride, Rocky Guidry, brother of the groom, Art Davidson, brother of the bride, Niles Landry, brother-in-law of the groom, and Josh Pothier, friend of the groom, served as the groomsmen during the ceremony.

Sheila Guidry, godchild of the groom, served as the flower girl and Jayden Sons, friend of the bride,_ served as the ring bearer. Jeremy Trahan, friend of the groom, J.P. Broussard, cousin of the groom, Barrett Broussard, cousin of the groom, and Cody Luedke, cousin of the groom, served as the ushers during the ceremony. The flower girl wore a full length ivory gown, which featured a lace bodice and an ivory sash. The ring bearer wore a black tuxedo and a green bow tie.

The mother of the bride wore a charcoal grey dress. To complete her look, she had a small posy of ivory, blush, and antique green hydrangea.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Andrea Mouton, John Moore, and Klill Green.

Suzanne Schexneyder, godmother of the bride, and Janet Gveis, godmother of the groom, provided the readings during the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Magdalen Place.

Upon returning from a honeymoon to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple plans to reside in Youngsville.
