A few weeks ago my family adopted a dog at an animal shelter in Manchester, New Hampshire, near where we live. The paperwork our adorable puppy came with says he is from Abbeville, Louisiana. All I know about his early life is that he was left by the side of the road, or maybe a river, with a few of his siblings. I guess there are more homes up here for dogs in need so they ship them up and that is how he came into our lives. I'm writing to thank whoever found and saved him, as well as The Animal Aid of Vermilion, so very much for our dog. He is getting a lot of love in our home. The kids named him Puck, after the mischievous character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" but other than wanting to play with every other dog he meets and stealing my shoe today, he's not so bad. Naturally, he barks with a thick southern accent but we are beginning to understand him well enough. We don't know what breed he is, other than some kind of terrier mix so I hope you all, I mean y'all, don't mind that we're calling him a Cajun Terrier on account of where he was born.
Thank you again,
Katherine Prudhomme-O'Brien and the family, Derry, New Hampshire
