Cathy Baccigalopi, author of The Eagle’s Feather, will be visiting the Abbeville Branch of the Vermilion Parish Library on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The Eagle’s Feather is a fast paced novel that takes the reader on an adventure locating a notorious drug lord. This page turner involves a group of men and women wanting revenge on the assassination of their friends and family members. The book refers to the fight against illegal drugs, especially cocaine, in the United States and the effect the drug has on our society.

Cathy is originally from Lafayette, where she received her bachelor’s degree from U.S.L. She taught kindergarten in Pecan Island, and then moved to Texas where she continued her education experience. She served as principal of Stevenson Primary School in Alvin, Texas for eighteen years.
