Plans were organized for a family-style bingo to raise funds for a scholarship to be given to a qualifying college student. In addition, Achievement Day was also planned for the Spring. On this day, all the clubs will gather to showcase their abilities in arts and crafts, and food categories. These projects are then judged and the winners are acknowledged with ribbons and a grand prize in each division is awarded a rosette.
Two new officers were also installed at the meeting. Sarah Gastal was chosen as the new literacy chair and Chris Fuselier was chosen to be the new parliamentarian. These new officers are going to be an asset to the club.
The Vermilion Volunteers for Family and Community Club is open to anyone who wishes to join. Simply contact a member or the LSUAg Center for information on becoming a member.
