On Friday, March 2, the VC Eagles baseball team defeated Northlake Christian 4-0 at the Ouchita Christian tournament.

The game marked the first start and win on the mound for freshman pitcher Christopher Sagrera.

Sagrera pitched all seven innings for VC, allowing just two hits while walking four and striking out eight.

Derek Broussard went 2-for-3 with two doubles for VC in the victory. Broussard scored on both trips to the bags.

Ryan Domingue was 1-for-3 with two RBIs, Blair Landry was 1-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored. Ryan David was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when VC got the scoring going.

The Eagles played Episcopal of Baton Rouge following the Northlake game,but results were unavailable as of press time.

VC (5-0) will next host Kaplan (1-3) on Tuesday, March 6.
