“There is NO special pill you can take at night that will get rid of the pounds for you. When I tell people how I lost 45 pounds, some say “that is too much work, I can’t do that.” I get mad when I hear that response. I want to say “stay big, then!” -Chris Rosa

At Snap Fitness, we TOTALLY agree with Chris…the only way you’re going to lose weight is to do the work, and Chris Rosa is proof that a little hard work goes a LONG way!

How long have you

been exercising?

I have been going to Snap Fitness for just over a year now.

What is your exercise

regimen?

My goal is to workout at least five times a week. It begins at 4:30 in the morning with at least a 2-3 mile run on the treadmill. That is about 35 minutes. Then, I do weight training for 30 minutes and finish with 15 minutes of cardio. My total workout is about 80-90 minutes long. If I do not sweat during a workout, then I do not feel it was a good workout.

What are your

primary fitness

goals?

My primary goal, like everyone else who enters the gym, is to lose weight and get healthy in order to live longer.

Have you reached

some of your fitness

goals set?

With the help of Snap Fitness and Dr. Lahasky’s weight loss program, I have lost 45 pounds in a year. Losing the weight was the easy part. What I’m finding out is that keeping it off is the challenge. With the help of exercise and watching what I eat, I’m able to do it. If I do not exercise, the weight will slowly come back.

How has exercising

helped your daily life

tasks?

Exercising has given me energy to start the day, plus it gives you more confidence.

Has consistent

exercising changed

your eating habits?

Yes. After you exercise for 90 minutes, the last thing you want to do is go pig-out on fatty foods. You do not want to waste all of the hard work you spent in the gym by eating ice cream or a box of cookies.

What is your main

motivation for

exercising?

Results. The simple formula …”eat less, move around more” works. It now has become a way of life.

What do you like

about Snap Fitness?

I like the 24 hours, seven days a week schedule. I have gone to the gym at 3:30 in the morning because I woke up and could not go back to sleep. When I got there I was not the only one in the gym that early. Plus, I love working out on Sundays.
