Stephanie Rene Coleman and Blake Nicholas Weaver were united in marriage on March 10, 2012, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, LA. The ceremony was celebrated by Father Scott Desormeaux.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Lynn Coleman and Ms. Jody Goudeau, both of Lafayette, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Maurene Conques Goudeau and the late Mr. Gerald David Goudeau Sr. of Lafayette and Mr. John Leonard Coleman and the late Mrs. Christine Gregory Coleman of Oklahoma.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Weaver, of Abbeville, Louisiana. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Floyd Weaver and the late Mrs. Beverly Adams Fabre, and Mr. Albert Luquette Jr. and the late Mrs. Marjorie Hebert Luquette of Abbeville. He is currently employed with Baker Hughes in Broussard, Louisiana. 

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless mermaid style dress with beaded and embroidered appliqués sewn on silky taffeta with a criss cross champagne charmuese satin band. The bride carried an all ivory bouquet of roses, hydrangeas, and calla lilies. To complete her look, the bride wore an ivory elbow length veil.

Serving as maid of honor was Malory Coleman, sister of the bride. Serving as bridesmaids were Amy Fulkerson, sister of the bride, Kayla Thomassee, Lindsey Dugas, Taylor Ardoin, Keisha Poirier, and Michelle Simon, all friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore strapless floor length mermaid style aubergine dresses with a sweatheart neckline. They carried an all ivory bouquet of hydrangeas. Madyson Weaver, sister of the groom, served as a Junior Bridesmaid. Emma Lange served as flower girl.

Serving as the Best Man was Rick Faul, cousin of the groom. Serving as groomsmen were Dreyson Bergeron, Trevor Champagne, Barrett Davidson, Nick Coleman, brother of the bride, Andre Landry, and Jess Broussard, all friends of the groom. Jansen Weaver, brother of the groom, served as a Junior Groomsman. Bennett DeRouen, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer. Shannon Luquette, uncle of the groom, and Brody Trahan, cousin of the groom, served as ushers.

The mother of the bride wore a gold shantung taffeta strapless knee-length dress with a hand-beaded neckline. The dress was accented with a matching jacket with three-quarter length sleeves featuring beaded gathered cuffs, covered buttons and beaded gathered sides.

The mother of the groom wore an eggplant colored sleeveless scoop neck dress with a shimmering tank bodice and fluid side-draped skirt. Her dress featured a three-quarter length sleeve bolero jacket.

Readers for the ceremony included Shirley Broussard, great aunt of the bride, and Kim Stakes.

A reception was held at Black’s, in Abbeville immediately following the ceremony.

The couple will honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas.
