Andrea Leigh Chapman and Ian Michael Willis were united in holy matrimony during a 7:00 pm ceremony on May 12th at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.  Father Glenn Meaux officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Susan Baird Chapman and Mr. William Andre Chapman.  She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Calvin and Mrs. Rita Baird, and Ms. Minnie Chapman and the late Mr. Murray Chapman.  She is a graduate of Lafayette High School and The University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  She is an Executive Assistant at LANtec Computer Training Center in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Marc Gossen and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Claman Willis.  He is the grandson of the late Mr. Dallas and Mrs. Velma Duhon, and the late Mr. LC “Foots” and Mrs. Faye Willis.  He is a graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School and The University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  He is employed as an Independent Landman in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown reminiscent of vintage glam. This Bordeaux Taffeta gown featured a strapless neckline and corset back, which showcased the hourglass silhouette and stunning bodice, asymmetrically draped into a side godet accented with beaded embroidery and Swarovski crystals, then finished with a dramatic bubble hem. She wore an ivory veil and carried a bouquet of ivory calla lilies, roses and hydrangeas. Her jewelry was handmade by her aunt, Linda Rome.

Lauren Chapman Swan, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and Cali Comeaux, friend of the bride, served as Maid of Honor.  Bridesmaids were Claire Chapman, Katelin Chapman, sisters of the bride, Laura Billingsley Chapman, sister-in-law of the bride, Mallory Broussard, Heather Darby and Kayla Stansbury, all friends of the bride.

Derek Abshire, friend of the groom, and Jacques Vincent, step-brother of the groom, served as Best Men.  Groomsmen were, Michael Chapman, brother of the bride, Kevin Swan, brother-in-law of the bride, Roland Eveland, Matthew Hollier, Eric McMahon and Seth Miller, all friends of the groom.

Ushers were Colin Duhon, Gregory Folse, Paul Miller and Jonathan Stephenson, friends of the groom.

Ring Bearers were Tristan Comeaux, godchild of bride, and Andrew Swan, nephew and godchild of bride.

Scripture readers were Dena Kashner, godmother and aunt of the groom, and Linda Rome, aunt of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was at Magdalen Place in Abbeville, Louisiana.

After returning from their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, the couple will reside in Lafayette, Louisiana.
