Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Gussie B. Primeaux, 83, who died Friday, May 25, 2012 at Opelousas General Health System. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
She is survived by two sons, Elridge Humble and his wife Frany of Iowa, Louisiana, Kevin Primeaux of Kaplan; three daughters, Linda and her husband John Wiesendanger of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Leona dePerrodil of Gueydan, Carissa and her husband Herbert Abshire of New Iberia; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward A. Humble, second husband, Curtis Primeaux, parents, Leon Broussard and the former Anite Mouton, one sister, Adley Simon and one brother, Lawless Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, May 29, from 9 a.m. until services.
