The Vermilion Parish School Board named two assistant principals and also learned another one was retiring.

Last week the school board named Lyndelle Theriot as one of two assistant principals at Abbeville High. She replaces Christina Menard, who was recently named the principal at Indian Bayou Elementary. Theriot was a teacher at Forked Island/E. Broussard Elementary.

Gueydan High English teacher Brandy Broussard was named the new assistant principal at Gueydan High School. She replaces former assistant principal Dana Primeaux.

Also, the school board learned long-time Erath High assistant principal Liz Vice recently retired. She has been the assistant principal at EHS since 2005.

The school board is now advertising for her position.

Another position also being advertised for is the assistant superintendent position now being held by Charlotte Waguespack. Waguespack’s last day at work is January of 2013.
